Colin heard on the radio this morning that some store in the valley had bear cubs that you could pet today. He didn't know too many specifics, only that the bears were going to be there from 10:00am to something and he really wanted to go. Randy had messed up our Saturday plans by having to work anyway so I, being the wonderful mother that I am, told him to keep listening and see if he could find out more details. He thought he remembered it was in Nampa so we got in the car and started driving while listening to the radio, hoping for more details. The commercial came on again and we called Aunt Shelly for directions to the store. She told us the general area and we found it.
After standing in line for two hours, Colin got to hold a baby bear and we got our picture taken. Grace was not to sure about being that close to a bear, she's heard too many stories to trust a bear.

Adorable! I'm with Grace though. Too many bear stories to trust even a baby bear.
Tell the kids that Bear World is about 3 miles from our house. Come visit and they can see the big bears, Elk, Wolves, and an entire petting zoo. They can even pet the chickens (if they can catch them) I think they might have more animals it has been a while since we have been there. It is very expensive to go there. I think it is $40-$50 a car. Good think Aunt Katie has a big car that we could all cram into.
