Have I ever said how wonderful my kids are? Well, they are. Apparently they are a little abnormal as they seem to amaze people wherever we go.
Today I took the three of them to the doctor's office for an appointment I had to get a mole checked out. We determine that the mole had to go and Dr. H asked if I'd like to reschedule for a time when the kids weren't with me. I told her that I didn't think they would be a problem and we came with the intention of having the mole biopsied. She said she was ok with it if I was, so away the mole went. I now have four stitches on my belly and the mole is in a little jar being shipped to the lab.
The children were the normal, wonderful kids they are. They passed the time eating their little boxes of raisins and laughing together and playing trucks, they hardly noticed the surgery going on above them. When the last stitch was stitched and clean up commenced, Dr. H said, "I can't believe I just did that with three kids in the room, I love to hear the sound of children's laughter."
It is nice to have kids you can take anywhere without worrying too much about behavior!

Have you got the test results back yet? I have some moles that look a little scary, and some thathave just become part of my life. I don't think I trust the "laser" enough to let dad take care of them, and some of them are not in spots I would comfortable about letting my dad or brother take off....
I haven't gotten the results for this one back yet, but I have had others removed before and they were fine. My OB removed the other two during two of my pregnancies. One was in a spot that I wouldn't want just anyone seeing, but I figured while I was going for all those prenantals and birth and all that jazz he was going to see that spot anyway so I may as well get it done. Not my favorite thing in the world. Having the one on my stomach removed recently gives me a little empathy for Brad - my stitches are itchy and annoying. I am glad mine was just a mole, not the pain and suffering that Brad had to endure!
Kim, your kids are amazing. Honestly, the stories you tell about them leave me wondering how I can inspire mine to be as inventive and exploratory - in a good way, of course!
Good luck with the test results. I had two removed in college - not fun. I think the surgeon guy froze them off. The only memory I really have of that moment was yelling "Bad word! Oh my gosh! Bad, bad word! Yeeeoww!"
